Carrie: The Musical
Music by Michael Gore
Lyrics by Dean Pitchford
Book by Lawrence D. Cohen
Illusions and Truth
Carrie is told through the eyes of Sue. To show her memory of the events, I used cold color palettes and haze. These memories are not happy and should feel cold and harsh. I juxtaposed it with Carrie’s house to be eerily warm as a façade for what actually goes on inside the house. As well as during the prom scene, using fun pretty lights at the top of the scene to juxtapose what takes place by the end.
